Case 01

Distributed playground sensing_

A distributed sensing system for interactive playground equipment, built around independent battery-powered sensor nodes and sub-GHz communication.

Luke was responsible for the sensor-node hardware and firmware, including the PCB trace antenna, matching, tuning and the low-power design direction. The system was designed around long unattended operation, robust radio behavior and practical product constraints.

Role

Focus
Ultra-low power, sub-GHz RF, distributed sensing
Client
Lappset

Case 02

CDX karting safety_

A radio-based karting safety system where marshals could command defined vehicle-speed states, including stop and maximum-speed states.

The work involved embedded development and later technical leadership, with timing, reliability and predictable behavior as central engineering concerns.

Role
